St. Paul’s Church, Ajrawar, Revitalizes Seven Basic Ecclesial Communities

St. Paul’s Church, Ajrawar, has successfully undertaken a renewal initiative to revitalize its Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs), strengthening spiritual fellowship, neighbourhood participation, and the active involvement of the laity in parish life.
The renewal programme was conducted from September 21 to October 1, 2026, across the villages of Ajrawar, Mandouli, Ghnour, Mehmadpur, and Ghnouri Khera. During this period, seven BEC units were revitalized, marking a significant step towards building vibrant, faith-centred communities.

The renewed BECs are intended to serve as small communities of faith where families can gather regularly for prayer, Gospel sharing, and mutual support. They will also foster closer collaboration between individual families and the wider parish community, encouraging greater participation in the Church’s pastoral mission.

The parish leadership will continue to accompany and strengthen these seven units through ongoing guidance and community animation programmes, ensuring that the BECs remain active centres of faith, fellowship, and shared responsibility.
The initiative reflects the parish’s commitment to building a more participatory Church rooted in the Gospel and strengthened by the active involvement of its faithful.
