64th Regional Catholic Council of the North Held in Jammu: Marking the 800th Anniversary of the Death of St. Francis of Assisi
The 64th Regional Catholic Council of the North (RCCN) was held on 26–27 September 2026 at Maitri Bhavan, Pastoral Centre, Smailpur, Bari Brahmana, Jammu, with the theme “Go, Rebuild My Church,” commemorating the 800th anniversary of the Transitus of St. Francis of Assisi.

St. Patrick’s Church, Kasauli, commenced the renewal of the Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC) prayer in the various units of the parish on September 19. With three BEC units in the parish, the renewal began with the St. John Maria Vianney Unit.
