St. Padre Pio Church, Nayagaon Celebrates the World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly

St. Padre Pio Church, Nayagaon, joyfully celebrated the World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly, expressing love, gratitude, and respect for the senior members of our parish family.
The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist, marked by a solemn entrance procession in which the grandparents and elderly were warmly welcomed. Each participant was honoured with a badge and traditional tilak as a sign of love and appreciation. A total of 31 grandparents and elderly parishioners took part in this special celebration.

During the programme, the Catechism children lovingly presented handmade greeting cards to each grandparent and elderly participant, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for their prayers, wisdom, and witness of faith. The Parish Youth also shared words of appreciation, acknowledging the invaluable guidance, sacrifices, and unwavering faith of the elderly, who continue to inspire the younger generation.

To conclude the celebration on a joyful note, the Parish Youth organized a fun-filled Passing the Ball game, bringing smiles, laughter, and a spirit of togetherness among all the participants.
We sincerely thank our entire Parish Community for their enthusiastic participation and for making this celebration truly memorable. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our Parish Youth and Catechism Children for their dedicated efforts in organizing and animating this meaningful event.
May God continue to bless all our grandparents and elderly with good health, joy, peace, and abundant grace. May they always remain cherished members of our parish family.
God bless all!
Fr. Lancy Paul
