St. Padre Pio Church, Nayagaon Celebrates a Joyous Twin Occasion

St. Padre Pio Church, Nayagaon, celebrated a grace-filled twin occasion on Sunday, August 2, marking the Feast of St. John Mary Vianney, Patron Saint of Priests, and offering a heartfelt Thanksgiving and Farewell to Sr. Anisha CSS (Prabha) on her transfer to the Bihar Community.

The celebration began with Eucharistic Adoration, during which special prayers were offered for all priests who have served the parish and in thanksgiving for Sr. Anisha's dedicated ministry.
The Holy Eucharist, led by Fr. Lancy Paul, commenced with a procession by the Mahila Sangh, while the parish youth led the Prayers of the Faithful. In his homily, Fr. Lancy Paul highlighted the vital role of priests in the lives of the faithful and urged everyone to remember them in their daily prayers.

Following the Mass, the parish community honoured Sr. Anisha CSS and Fr. Lancy Paul with a warm felicitation programme. Catechism children presented handmade greeting cards, the choir performed a dance, the Mahila Sangh offered felicitation songs, floral tributes were presented, and a cake-cutting added to the festive spirit.

Expressing her gratitude, Sr. Anisha thanked Fr. Lancy Paul, her CSS community, the parishioners, and especially the catechism children for their love, support, and prayers, assuring everyone of her continued prayers as she begins her new mission.

The celebration concluded with fellowship over meetha paani and snacks, leaving the parish united in gratitude as they celebrated the gift of the priesthood and honoured the devoted service of Sr. Anisha CSS.
