St. Anne Church, Rania, Haryana, celebrated Green Day with great joy and enthusiasm

St. Anne Church, Rania, Haryana, celebrated Green Day on Sunday, 9 August 2026, with great joy and enthusiasm. The celebration was organised to create awareness among the parish community about the importance of caring for nature and protecting the environment. The occasion beautifully reminded everyone of their responsibility to preserve God’s creation.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Benito D’Souza, Assistant Parish Priest, and Rev. Father Lino Santiago, Parish Priest. Through the celebration, the faithful were encouraged to develop greater love and respect for nature and to recognise the need for responsible care of our common home.

The Green Day celebration was marked by the participation of children, youth and parishioners. Green plants and saplings were presented as a symbol of life, growth and hope.
