MFC Missionary Journey Strengthens Family Ministry Across the Diocese
From 11 to 20 September 2026, representatives of the Missionary Families of Christ (MFC), Goa, undertook a 10-day mission tour across parishes in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, in collaboration with the Diocesan Family Commission.
The mission included Christian Life Seminars (CLS), foundational talks, personal counselling, and parish orientations at various stations, including Bathinda, Rampura, Sheikpura, and Dagshai. The MFC team also held pastoral planning meetings with parish priests in Talwandi Sabo, Mansa, Sirsa, Amloh, Mandi Gobindgarh, Patiala, and Shimla to coordinate upcoming CLS modules and household renewal programmes in the coming months.
As part of the mission, the delegates met with Most Rev. Dr. Sahaya Thatheus Thomas, Bishop of Simla–Chandigarh, in Chandigarh to seek his blessings and support for the growth of family ministry across the diocese.
The 10-day mission served as a meaningful step towards strengthening Christian family life, deepening faith formation, and fostering collaboration in the diocese’s family apostolate.
The Family Commission expresses its sincere gratitude to all the parish priests, parishioners, and host communities for their warm hospitality and valuable support in making this mission fruitful.
