Laudato Si' Day Celebration – Tricity

On 19 July 2026, St. Joseph Church, Kalka, together with the parishes of Chandigarh and Panchkula, celebrated Laudato Si' Day under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Antony Raj. The celebration was graced by Hon. Mr. Ravi Kiran, IPS, ADGP.

Around 100 fruit, flowers and shade tree saplings were distributed, encouraging families to care for creation in the spirit of Laudato Si'. Four trees were also planted in the church campus as a living memorial to departed parishioners.

The celebration inspired the faithful to embrace ecological responsibility and renew their commitment to protecting our common home.
