First Thanksgiving Mass of Rev. Fr. Ankit Xavier Kujur Celebrated at Little Flower Church, Panchkula
The First Thanksgiving Mass of the newly ordained priest, Rev. Fr. Ankit Xavier Kujur, was celebrated with great joy and gratitude on August 30, 2026, at Little Flower Church, Panchkula.
The celebration brought together around 400 faithful, along with priests, religious sisters and members of the parish communities of Panchkula and Chandimandir-Manimajra.
The newly ordained priest received a warm and joyful welcome from the faithful.
The Holy Eucharist was then celebrated in an atmosphere of prayer, thanksgiving and festivity.
Fr. Vianney, in his homily, beautifully highlighted the presence, vocation and mission of the priesthood, reminding the faithful of the priest’s call to serve God and His people with love, humility and dedication.
Among those present were Fr. Francis Xavier, Parish Priest of Sunam, and Fr. Amritlal Kandulna, Parish Priest of Chandimandir-Manimajra, together with religious sisters and members of the two parish communities.
Following the Holy Mass, a colourful cultural programme was organised to felicitate and honour Fr. Ankit Xavier Kujur. The children, youth and Mahila Mandal presented vibrant and meaningful performances, adding joy and warmth to the celebration.
The occasion also marked the observance of St. Monica Diwas, making the gathering a special celebration of faith, family and community.
The programme concluded with a fellowship meal, bringing everyone together in a spirit of fraternity and thanksgiving.
The faithful departed with hearts filled with joy, gratitude and renewed faith, thanking God for the gift of a new priest and praying that Fr. Ankit Xavier Kujur may continue to serve the Church faithfully and generously.
