Creativity Day: Catechism Children Craft "Cards for Jesus" to Spread Love and Joy
The Catechism Department of the Church of Our Lady of Miracles, New Chandigarh, organized a vibrant card-making competition titled “Card for My Jesus” today, 23rd August 2026 (23/08/2026), as part of their Spiritual Creativity Day.
Over 80 enthusiastic catechism children gathered this morning to express their love for the Lord through art, color, and heartfelt prayers. Guided by their dedicated class teachers, the young participants channeled their creativity onto paper, crafting unique devotional cards filled with blessings and messages of faith.
Spreading Warmth to the Elderly.
In a moving initiative to connect faith with active charity, the cards made by the children will be gifted to the elderly residents of Aasara Terminal Home, Majri, as well as seniors within the parish community.
Guidance and Recognition
The event was organized under the leadership of Rev. Sr. Francina CSAC, Headmistress of the Catechism Department, with active support and encouragement from Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Rohit Paul Xalxo and Sr. Justi SD, under the pastoral guidance of Parish Priest Fr. Bibin Thekkedath.
Prizes for the competition winners will be officially distributed during the upcoming Catechism Annual Day celebrations.
