🌿 Celebrating World Nature Conservation Day 2026: Green Drive at Church of Our Lady of Miracles
Caring for Our Common Home
In response to the inspiring call from Fr. Antony Raj (Secretary, Commission for Ecology) for World Nature Conservation Day, the parishioners of the Church of Our Lady of Miracles, New Chandigarh, gathered on Sunday, 26th July 2026, to celebrate and reaffirm their commitment to ecological stewardship.
Following the message read out during the Holy Mass, the entire parish community joined hands to make this initiative a grand success!
Highlights of the Event
* Symbolic Tree Planting: Taking concrete steps toward a greener future, two trees were planted in the church garden, symbolizing growth, hope, and our responsibility to protect God's creation.
* Call to Action for Families: Our Parish Priest, Fr. Bibin T. Varghese, addressed the congregation and warmly encouraged every parish family to take up the mission by planting at least one sapling in their home gardens.
* Youth & Children Involvement: Special emphasis was placed on empowering our children and young people to take the lead in preserving nature and expanding our green footprint.
