BEC Seminar Held at St. Alphonsa Church, Bagthala, Kurukshetra

St. Alphonsa Church, Bagthala, organized a seminar on Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) on July 26, 2026, with the active participation of around 80 parishioners.

Fr. Stephen Masih, new secretary for BECs, visited the parish and addressed all the parishioners. The seminar focused on the vision, mission, and importance of BECs in strengthening faith, fostering communion, and building vibrant Christian communities at the grassroots level.

The participants enthusiastically engaged in the sessions and expressed their commitment to nurturing a more participatory and mission-oriented parish life.

A significant outcome of the seminar was the formation of two new BEC units, marking an important step towards implementing the diocesan pastoral vision and promoting small Christian communities within the parish.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment from the faithful to actively participate in the life and mission of the Church through the Basic Ecclesial Communities.
