Activity Sunday for 56 Catechism Children at Nayagaon St. Padre Pio Church, Nayagaon – Chandigarh Deanery

St. Padre Pio Church, Nayagaon, organized an “Activity Sunday” for its Catechism children, providing them with a joyful and creative space to learn beyond the classroom.

The programme focused on helping the children understand the significance of Independence Day and the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, while encouraging them to discover and express their talents through various activities.

The initiative promoted creativity, teamwork, confidence, and active participation, making Catechism more enjoyable and meaningful. The enthusiastic involvement of the children also encouraged greater participation of parents in the life of the parish.

The Activity Sunday was a fruitful step towards making faith formation more child-centred, practical, and joyful, strengthening the bond between children, parents, catechists, and the parish community.
