A Grace-Filled New Beginning: Rasulpur Embraces a Journey of Faith and Communion
The Catholic community at St. John’s Church, Rasulpur, experienced a joyful and grace-filled moment on 16 September 2026, as Pastor Subhash Chand, along with nearly 30 families of his congregation, was welcomed into the Catholic Church.
The occasion was celebrated with prayer, thanksgiving and praise to God in the presence of Fr. Maria Selvedas, Vicar General, Rev. Fr. Xavier Harold, Rev. Fr. Pardeep IMS and Fr. Vilfred Masih.
As part of this new beginning, Pastor Subhash Chand was appointed Catechist of the locality, entrusted with accompanying the faithful, nurturing their faith and strengthening the Christian community.
The gathering was a beautiful expression of faith, communion and evangelization, marking a new chapter in the spiritual journey of the families at Rasulpur. This grace-filled gathering marked not simply a new beginning, but a renewed commitment to faith, communion and mission.
As Pastor Subhash Chand and the newly welcomed families (Catechumens) begin their journey within the Catholic community, may they grow together in the love of Christ and become joyful witnesses of the Gospel in Rasulpur and beyond.
May this new chapter bear abundant spiritual fruit and become a lasting testimony to God’s grace, unity and the transforming power of the Gospel. To God be the glory, and may the Holy Name of Jesus Christ be glorified always.
